Opening Prayer 1
Living God, on the first day of the week you brought to birth a new creation through the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ. Fill us with the hope and joy of new beginnings, so that we may share the good news of your liberating, life-giving power with all the world; through Christ our Savior, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and always. Amen.

Call to Worship 2
ONE: This is the day:
ALL: when tears are wiped away, when shattered hearts are mended, and fears replaced with joy.
ONE: This is the day:
ALL: the Lord rolls away the stone of fear, casts off death's clothes, and goes before us into the future God prepares.
ONE: Today we rejoice, for Christ is Risen!
ALL: He is Risen indeed!
ONE: As Easter dawned, our hopes lay bound in the tomb, sealed in by stone.
ALL: We rejoice with Mary that the stone has been rolled away. The tomb lies empty. Where once death and despair lay locked in time now light has dawned to shine in our darkness. Death cannot hold our Savior, and by his mercy, death has lost its hold on us as well.
ONE: Today we rejoice
ALL: for Christ is risen! In the name of Christ, our risen Lord, we pray. Amen
Hymn 235 O Sons and Daughters, Let Us Sing
Affirmation of Faith 3
This Easter day, we rejoice that death is not the last word. God raised Jesus from death, turning sorrow into joy, despair into hope. We sing of Jesus raised from the dead. We sing hallelujah. The Risen Christ lives today, present to us and the source of our hope. We sing of a church seeking to continue the story of Jesus by embodying Christ's presence in the world. We are called together by Christ as a community of broken but hopeful believers, loving what he loved, living what he taught, striving to be faithful servants of God in our time and place, even as we look in hope for a new heaven and a new earth.

Prayer of Dedication
God of New Beginnings, you roll away more than stones. You roll away despair and doubt, fear and failure. On this Resurrection morning, we offer our gifts in gratitude for the new life we have found in Christ. Let these offerings be signs of our commitment to live differently -- eyes open, hearts awakened, hands ready to serve. May what we give today help announce to the world that hope is alive, love has triumphed, and joy cannot be contained. Use us and what we offer to keep telling the story: Christ is risen, indeed! Bless what we give and bless what we keep, that all may be used for your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Invitation and Great Prayer of Thanksgiving 5
Welcome to the delight that is this table. Our Lord's table. Welcome to the table where the love of God meets Humanity. We welcome everyone to this table, no matter your church background, your knowledge of biblical ideas, no matter your sexual orientation or gender truth, no matter your mood. Wherever and whoever you are you are welcome here, you belong, you are worthy.
This is for you, but it may change you from one who is anxiously concerned about their own redemption into one who knows that Christ's body is the earth and all who walk upon it, are one in Him. Into knowing that we are not redeemed by our being good but by our being connected. Into knowing that daring to eat at the table of Jesus Christ has unimaginable consequences.
So come, come to be made whole, and to participate in the work of making us one with God and each other.
ONE: The Lord be with you
ALL: And also with you
ONE: Lift up your hearts
ALL: We lift them up to the Lord
ONE: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God
ALL: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
ONE: It is truly right and our greatest joy to give you thanks and praise, eternal God, creator of the universe. You made us from the dust of the earth, Breathed into us the breath of life, And set us in your world to love you. We rejected your love, your peace. We chose to live in enmity with one another Rather than peace with you and all creation. But you did not reject us, and you called us back to you over and over again. We thank you for the prophets like John who prepared the way of peace. Therefore we praise you, Joining our voices with the heavenly choirs And with all the faithful of every time and place, Who forever sing to the glory of your name, saying together:
ALL: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
ONE: We give you thanks for Jesus at whose birth the angels sang of the coming reign of peace on earth, who fed the hungry, humbled the mighty, and proclaimed the good news. With thanks and praise we offer ourselves to you, sharing this holy meal, Remembering Christ's dying and rising, And praying: Come, Lord Jesus! Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. Pour out your Holy Spirit upon us— this bread, this cup, this people— Christ's body and blood, that brings us peace. As you make us one in the Spirit, grant us the strength and wisdom to seek peace in the world. Keep us in the peace of Christ until you gather us at your table in glory Guide us in the path of peace. Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor are yours, almighty God, now and forever. Amen.

Opening Prayer 1
God, we are in a liminal space, one where chaos and disorder have confused our lives, yet one where we also find time to rest and receive your peace. We sit with the disciples behind our locked doors and wait in fear, and when you appear, we are given a spirit of peace only you can give. Hold us in your grace this morning, offering us the same hopeful word you offered those frightened disciples that Easter evening so many years ago. We pray this all in the name of your son, our Risen Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

ONE: Thomas said:
ALL: “Unless I see the mark of the nails and put my hand in his side, I will not believe.”
ONE: We are often skeptical people, driven by our senses, relying on that which we can hear, see or prove.
ALL: Our Lord asks us to see the invisible, to trust in the spirit, to have faith. Lord, give us faith!
ONE: Sometimes we get carried away by our emotions, by wishful thinking and by popular trends that pull us in.
ALL: Lord, help us to be bold in our beliefs, but also careful as Thomas was. Move us beyond mere trust in ordinary things and open our eyes for spiritual realities.
ONE: Jesus said: “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”
