Greetings and Peace be with you!
Welcome to the Bethany Presbyterian Church
website. We are the little church on the hill.
Nestled in the pine trees near the Crystal Springs Reservoir, the
surroundings of our church are a constant reminder of our connection to
God's Spirit in all of creation.
At Bethany, we strive to be a nurturing community of faith, centered in
the belief that God in Christ calls us to be family. Through worship,
prayer, study and fellowship, we discover God's presence and love for us
in our lives. With grateful and humble hearts, we also seek ways to embody
and live out God's love with the larger community through hands-on
outreach and mission.
We have a vibrant Youth Club on Wednesday nights. There are fellowship
events, such as the Adult Bible Study classes and Summer Movie Nights as
well as special programs for seniors.
One of the hallmarks of Bethany is our outstanding music program, which
surrounds us with songs and hymns each Sunday in classical, contemporary,
and gospel styles of music.
Be our guest! Share our journey as we discover God's presence in our
lives, and in the world around us.
2009 Stewardship Campaign
Our stewardship campaign has begun and will end on Nov. 22nd, when we will
dedicate our 2010 pledges. You will soon receive a stewardship letter and
pledge card in the mail. You may put your pledge card in the offering
plate any Sunday between now and the 22nd, or return it to the
church by mail, if you prefer. Please prayerfully consider what your
offering can be.
Construction:
You may see strange vehicles and other equipment on or near our parking
lot down the hill. The city is stabilizing the hill before the rains come.
The construction activity should go on for the next several weeks. The
contractor will leave the equipment on the hill rather than on the parking
lot.

Musician Sign-ups
While we're searching for a new director of music, we're
inviting any musicians to "take charge" and organize music for a Sunday.
If you can play the piano for the hymns, that would be great, too! The
Sundays we have open are November 15 and the entire month of December! Please sign up with Pastor
Don or the church office if you can help. Thank you!
Annual Thanksgiving Dinner / Talent Revue / Open
Mic
This much anticipated annual event
is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21st, beginning at 6 p.m. This is a
"partial potluck" - the church will provide the turkey, stuffing, gravy,
fresh cranberry relish and pie, and everyone is asked to sign up to bring
a side dish to serve 10: potatoes/sweet potatoes, salad, or hot veggie.
Sign up sheets for attending and for helping will be in the Narthex soon!
And since this falls on the 3rd Saturday, we are combining Open Mic Night
with our usual Talent Revue! More information about signups for that
portion will be coming soon!
Youth Club Canned Food Drive!
