Join us in the month of June, as we celebrate being a More Light Congregation!
Bethany’s participation in the More Light Church movement will be highlighted with “Moments of Pride” during worship services. Bethany became a More Light congregation in 2011, and we will spend some time remembering what that commitment means to us a congregation. We hope to have several people share their thoughts with us each Sunday during Pride Month as we continue to reach out to all our siblings in the life of the church.
June 7: Roberta Henry will share a video message, and her 2011 reflection on becoming a More Light Church will be read by Craig Bray.
June 14: Alicia McHale and her daughter Vivi will speak about the importance of pronouns, and Kathy Quickert will share thoughts on supporting our LGBTQ+ siblings in Christ.
June 21: Craig Bray will speak on surprises in life that ultimately make no difference on Father's Day.
June 28 - All Church Luncheon and Congregational Conversation: The Deacons and friends will host a luncheon after worship on Sunday, June 28th as we celebrate the last Sunday of Pride Month. During the luncheon, we will have a Congregational Conversation to reflect on the “Moments of Pride” that we heard during the month of June. Please plan to join us as we share our thoughts and questions about our decision to become a More Light Congregation, and as we enjoy the fellowship we share as Beloved Children of God!
