The Pastor's class resumed September 29 with the first of 24 sessions on the book, What Jesus Meant by Dr. Garry Wills, noted scholar and biblical interpreter. 10 people have already joined the class for the 2009-2010 season. More books can be ordered if you wish to join the study ($10 donation). The study will take you into understanding Jesus in new ways. Dr. Wills translates the New Testament passages himself and his translation breathes new life into its substance. I hope you can come along and explore this study with us. -- Don

21   Annual Thanksgiving Dinner/Talent Revue/Open Mic
This much anticipated annual event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21st, beginning at 6 p.m. This is a "partial potluck" - the church will provide the turkey, stuffing, gravy, fresh cranberry relish and pie, and everyone is asked to sign up to bring a side dish to serve 10: potatoes/sweet potatoes, salad, or hot veggie. Sign up sheets for attending and for helping will be in the Narthex soon! And since this falls on the 3rd Saturday, we are combining Open Mic Night with our usual Talent Revue! More information about signups for that portion will be coming soon!
